Picasso

Picasso is best known for his cubism but he worked in other styles as well. Between 1907-09 Picasso had what’s known as his African period where his work was strongly inspired by African sculpture. After WWI Picasso worked in neoclassical style. Both of these styles are different from each other. The art from his African period still has strong cubism elements whereas with his neoclassical art you can see that he tried to make it more realistic. You can see similarities in the styles in the figures and the color palettes along with the facial shapes in the neoclassical style. Although they’re more realistic they still have very defined shapes.
