Frank Stella

Frank Stella is a painter, sculptor, and printmaker who was born in 1936 and lives in New York City.  His early artwork was abstract prints which he then began to introduce relief into. His relief works led him to start creating sculptures.

His early prints were very simplistic and geometrical but used the same bright colors as his sculptures. His sculptures and relief pieces are more energetic, crazy and random.
