Marcel Duchamp

Marcel Duchamp was a French American artist who lived from 1887- 1968. He was a painter, sculptor, writer and chess player. He helped to develop the plastic arts and painting.  He was also known for doing readymades which were objects that Duchamp found and presented as art. They were meant to question the notion of art. His other art was associated with cubism.
